An Island Filled with Bean Bags and Zedonks

A whole island filled with a garden bean bag collection. That must be what the woman who wrote in a blog that she would like to visit a bean bag island envisaged. At least that is what imagery formed in my mind when I read about her wish. It would be a plethora of bean chairs scattered from one side of tropical paradise escape to the other.

I guess the next thought would involve icy fruity beverages being served upon trays by exotic looking inhabitants. Possibly a feast on a pig roast, pineapple filled lettuce wraps and coconut milkshakes to follow. I agree that this is a nice day dream of sorts. However, as I read further along in the blog I learned that she had never really dreamt of the locale. Instead it all unraveled from her computer automatically replacing Bainbridge Island, the name of a place she wanted to attend a county fair to see a creature called a zedonk, with the fictional Beanbag Island. As is often the case, I found fact was stranger than fiction in this instance. Apparently, a zedonk is a zebra and donkey hybrid of sorts. Another twist of her imagination, maybe. Not one I will spend much time trying to visualize.

Funky Bean Bags site has a menagerie of outdoor bean bags, but you will have to look elsewhere for a zedonk.
