When a Puppy Named Bean Bag is on Your Childs Wish List

My daughter, Amelia, has her heart set on receiving a new puppy for Christmas. She has already selected the name Bean Bag for it. The name is to ensure that she gets one with what she calls ripples, not because she is a bean bag chair enthusiast. It initially surprised me that she had not be as transparent as to have selected Ripples for the name. But I surmise that even at her tender age she recognized that might be too obvious.

You see, we lost our dog Shanghai, a Sharpei earlier this year and I took it pretty hard. Thus, I have  been reluctant to adopt another pet. Therefore, Amelia thinks that if she does not insist on a wrinkley pooch she may stand a better chance at getting a puppy. While this is very considerate of her, I feel certain that my broken heart will feel the same with the arrival of any new dog. Nonetheless, Amelia will be getting her wish granted. She will get an English Bulldog named Ripples, and an actual bean bag for her room. It will be the perfect place for she and the pup to become acquainted.
